FAQs

What is the goal of this initiative?

Our goal is to provide pediatric cancer patients with thoughtfully designed care packages that offer comfort, distraction, and encouragement during treatment. We focus on small, meaningful items that can make a difficult experience feel more manageable.

How and what items are selected for the care packages?

All items are chosen with both comfort and hospital safety in mind. We only include new, unused items and avoid anything that could pose a risk, such as food, allergens, swallow risks, or products that are difficult to sanitize. We prioritize practical additions like fun griper socks for safety on hospital floors and select materials that are soft, simple, and appropriate for a medical environment. We also work to follow any specific guidelines provided by partner hospitals.

Who receives the care packages?

The care packages are intended for pediatric cancer patients undergoing treatment. We aim to create items that are appropriate for a wide range of ages, including both younger children and teens, so that every patient feels included. We aim to create different care packages based on the age ranges so the selected comfort items can be tailored to the specific patients and their needs.

How can I get involved or support this project?

You can support this initiative by donating (new) items, helping assemble care packages, or partnering with us as a school, organization, or sponsor. If you’re interested in contributing, we would love to connect.
